I think the thing that makes Toro y Moi speak to me is just how well he gets and then represents what it’s like to be an early-to-mid-twentysomething right now. At least the music seems really true to me. The songs are about lots of different situations too, which is really great because there’s a song that fits nearly every mood.

And at the same time it’s incredibly easy to ignore all that and just enjoy the music because it’s soooo good in itself.
